A qualifying declaration must explicitly identify the office she intends to contest in the 2027 General Election. “Nairobi Woman Representative” and “Nairobi Senator” resolve to their respective outcomes. “Constituency Member of Parliament” requires her to identify a specific constituency anywhere in Kenya; saying only “Parliament” or “MP” without identifying a constituency does not qualify. An explicit reaffirmation of an earlier declaration counts. Endorsements by other speakers, hints, conditional statements and expressions of interest without a definite commitment do not count.
